I care for gardens through both pruning and soil improvement, looking not only at the appearance of trees, but also at the condition of the soil and roots beneath them.

Every garden is different. I look at the condition and character of each tree, the soil, the surrounding space, and how you would like to live with your garden before deciding what work is needed.

For Me, Pruning Begins with Listening
Before making the first cut, I take time to observe each tree — how it has grown, the direction of its branches, and the character it has developed over the years.
Sometimes I place my hand on the trunk, close my eyes, and simply stay still for a moment.
I do not want to force every tree into a predetermined shape. I try to understand what is already there and bring out the tree’s natural beauty.
Pruning is not simply about making a tree smaller or tidier. By carefully removing branches, sunlight and air can reach the inside of the tree, helping it stay healthy while creating a more comfortable space in the garden.
My aim is to care for each tree in a way that respects its natural character and allows it to remain healthy for years to come.
About Me
I work as a gardener under the name POLANO GARDEN.
Before starting POLANO GARDEN, I spent about seven years working on landscaping projects, mainly in Tokyo, with Green Wise Co., Ltd.
I am a certified First-Class Landscape Construction Management Engineer in Japan.
My approach to garden care goes beyond shaping what can be seen above ground. I also look at the soil and roots, because the health of a garden often begins beneath the surface.
Prices
Prices vary depending on the size and condition of the trees and garden. The following prices are provided as a general guide.
Trees under 3 m: from ¥3,000
Trees 3–5 m: from ¥6,000
Typical pruning for a small to medium-sized garden: ¥10,000–¥30,000
I will assess the condition of your garden and trees and recommend the work that best suits their needs.

Soil Improvement
When a tree is losing its vitality, the cause may not be in its branches or leaves. Sometimes the problem lies in the soil.
I assess the condition of the garden and, when necessary, improve the soil and growing environment around the roots. My goal is not only to make a garden look better today, but to help its trees and plants remain healthy into the future.
